Whittington Castle

Near Oswestry SY11 4DF

Good Friday 2nd April

Sunday 4th July EXTRA DATE

Times: 10am- 4pm

Entry: £2.00 per car

Dogs on leads welcome

We are thrilled to add an extra summer date to our traditional Good Friday one at this dramatic venue.

The strikingly picturesque and romantic ruins are steeped in much history, tales of bitter border warfare, romance and legend.

It is believed to be the first Castle in the UK owned and run by a local community. All the car parking charges from these events go to keeping the castle and it's grounds open to the public.

Whittington is a small rural community in Shropshire close to the market town of Oswestry. The castle sits in the centre of this lovely village set in about 12 acres of grounds and is the remains of a Norman home.
