Alluring Plants

Alluring Plants is a very small independent nursery based at Pam’s Pools, a wildlife reserve, at Underton near Bridgnorth, Shropshire. I am a retired Landscape Architect with years of experience of landscape design and management. I specialise is growing beautiful, sustainably grown plants which are rich in sources of nectar and pollen needed by our bees and butterflies.

I grow a wide range of garden perennials, some native perennials, annuals and vegetable plants. I love Agapanthus and am gradually expanding the range that I grow.

All my plants are grown in peat-free compost, I only use pesticides approved for organic use and minimise the use of any plastics. I’ve tried to find alternatives to plastic pots with-out much success. There really isn’t a good commercial alternative on the market yet. This year I’m going to try something different and will use POSI pots- where plants are transferred to specially designed cardboard pots when you buy. This fantastic system will allow customers to take home plants plastic free, if they prefer. I will wash and reuse the plastic ones.

Pam’s Pools is managed by Shropshire Wildlife. Trust Please see for details of events at Pam's Pools.
