Tissington Nursery

We are a small family run plant nursery located in the idyllic village of Tissington which is in the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park.

The village forms part of the larger Tissington Estate which has been in the Fitzherbert family for hundreds of years. Housed in the estate's walled Old Kitchen Gardens, Tissington Nursery retains many interesting original features including two Victorian Foster and Pearson glasshouses, boiler house, potting shed and pump house.

The nursery is approx. 700ft (213m) above sea level and as you can imagine the winters are long and cold. The plants we produce (with a few exceptions) are hardy in Tissington and should do well in your garden.

All of our perennials are grown on the nursery using Melcourt Sylvamix Peat Free Compost.
